If you cut a lot of muddy, frozen or dirty logs then the debarker is a necessity that will pay for itself in a hurry.

The debarker blade will run in front of your band blade and cut a groove through the mud, dirt, and bark so that the band blade is cutting through clean wood. This will prolong the sharpness of the tooth and life of the bandsaw blade.
