We start by using stress proof steel for the shaft, and the shaft is encased in 1/2" thick round steel, and we use tapered roller bearings like you would find in the axle of a truck. This make for a virtually indestructible piece.

This massive piece is constructed using 6" round steel, and huge tapered roller bearings. The shaft is made from stressproof steel and the band wheel side measures 2-1/2" and 2-1/8" on the drive pulley side.

This unit is made to handle up to 36" diameter wheels.
